Consulting Mandate

Das News-Magazin TYDEN

From mid-1998 to mid-2003 Christian Müller led his own consulting company, Zug-based commwork AG. The products and services offered (and extensively used) included advising on and assisting in the launches and relaunches of newspapers and magazines, writing and editing annual reports, company profiles (with photos) and promotional brochures, ghostwriting (of newspaper articles and speeches) and media relations management (see also “The Rosengart Collection”, right), along with further commissions and assignments in M&A, planning and accompanying business study trips to Russian-speaking Eastern Europe and commercial mediation (for M&A activities, see also “The Vogt-Schild Media Group”, right).

Commwork’s biggest and best-known clients for the above included:

  • Mediacop s.r.o., Prague (relaunch of «TYDEN», launch of «Instinkt» and «Aha»)
  • Ringier CR a.s., Prague (M&A)
  • Vogt-Schild Medien AG, Solothurn (various mandates)
  • Pilatus Aircraft Ltd., Stans (various mandates)
  • Victoria-Jungfrau Collection AG, Interlaken (annual report)
  • SwissLos (annual report)
  • AZ Medien Gruppe, Aarau (business study trip to Ukraine).

Mediacop s.r.o. Prag
Commwork helped Prague-based Mediacop to launch its “Instinkt” women’s magazine. The title has grown to become one of the most successful publications in the Czech magazine market.
Sammlung Rosengart
One of the smaller mandates that commwork has assumed in the past few years was the responsibility for all media relations in the run-up to the opening of the Rosengart Collection of art at its unique new premises in Lucerne. The brief here was to ensure that adequate attention was paid to the opening to the public of this magnificent art collection, donated by Lucerne art collector Angela Rosengart, by key Swiss press publications and TV and radio stations and by the international media scene.

This was wholly achieved, not least through commwork’s extensive personal contacts: as the opening approached, long articles on the Rosengart Collection and its new home were carried in all the major Swiss newspapers and magazines, as well as in Germany’s “Stern” and “Focus”, in “Paris Match” and “Connaissance des Arts” in France, in “The Art Newspaper” in the UK and in “Town & Country” and even top-notch women’s magazine “Wmagazine” in the USA.

As well as numerous works by Picasso, the Rosengart Collection includes many fabulous images by Paul Klee (including his “Bergdorf”, illustrated above).

Vogt-Schild Medien AG

Commwork handled the acquisition of specialist magazine “CHemie plus” for the Vogt-Schild Media Group in 2000.
