Arbeiterbewegung und Unternehmerpolitik

As a journalist and editor on various daily newspapers, Christian Müller has written and had published hundreds of reports, columns and editorials. On a few odd occasions, he has found the time and the inspiration to venture into the book world, too. And he has a few ideas for further titles already…

Aviation / Pilatus PC-6

In 1996 Christian Müller travelled all over the world to observe the many and varied roles of the Pilatus PC-6, commonly known as the “Porter”. He went on to transform his experiences of this multifunctional aircraft of Swiss manufacture, many of which he obtained by flying along himself, into a lavishly-illustrated book which is still available in its German edition.

Aviatiion / Pilatus PC-12

Having already authored a text-and-image profile of the Pilatus PC-6, Christian Müller travelled the world again in 1999 to study the Pilatus PC-12, the then-new and highly successful business aircraft manufactured by the Swiss-based Pilatus Aircraft Company. Here, too, he went on to produce a richly-illustrated book on the plane’s various uses, which is still available in English or German.

A political documentary account
Elisabeth Kopp became Switzerland’s first-ever female Federal Councillor (member of the seven-strong national cabinet) in 1984. Just over four years later she was forced to resign in connection with her husband’s business dealings. In the 19 days between Ms. Kopp’s resignation on 12 January and her successor’s election on 1 February 1989, Christian Müller worked with Sebastian Speich, Michael von Graffenried and Frank A. Meyer to produce a documentary account of the “Kopp Affair”, including all the relevant reports and comments in the Swiss media. They did it: by the time Kaspar Villiger joined the Federal Council in Kopp’s place on 1 February, the book was in the shops.
SWITZERLAND’S CONSULTING GUIDE
Consulting 2001: Christian Müller served as editor-in-chief for the first edition of Switzerland’s prime consultancy manual (which appeared in 2001), procuring and editing the texts on the various companies featured. His editorial (in German) on the role and importance of consulting can be downloaded as a PDF file.
SWITZERLAND’S WINES
Schweizer Rebbau - Schweizer Wein: Christian Müller co-authored this guide to Swiss wines and wrote the chapters on buying, keeping and enjoying wine. The large-format lavishly-illustrated book, first published by Ex Libris in 1980, quickly established itself as the standard work on the Swiss wine scene.
